The trial
A trial before the wedding
About two hours in our trial room, on a quiet weekday morning.
We try your look with your veil or headpiece, check how it holds as you turn and move, and adjust until it sits right with your dress. Then we write down what we did, so any of the five of us can do it the same way on the day.
Bring photos of the looks you like and of your dress
Bring your veil, comb or hair vine
Wear a top that buttons or zips at the front

The trial, step by step
- 01
Step 1: Book your trial
Choose a weekday morning on the booking page, or call the studio. The trial comes first, and your date is held when the contract is signed and the deposit paid.
- 02
Step 2: What to bring
Photos of your dress and the looks you like, your veil, comb or hair vine, and a top that buttons or zips at the front.
- 03
Step 3: When you arrive
Come with clean, dry hair, a few minutes early. Street parking is on Pearl Street, and the studio door is marked on your confirmation. One guest may come with you.
- 04
Step 4: What happens in the trial
We talk through your day, try the style with your accessories, adjust it, and write down every step. You leave with the plan for your morning.
Questions
Before your trial
Can I try more than one style?
Yes, within the time. We start with the style you like most, and if there is time left we try a second.
Can my bridesmaids come?
One guest may join you, so the room stays calm. Bridesmaids are styled on the morning of the wedding.
Is the trial at my venue?
No. It is in our trial room, where the light and the tools are the same every time. The wedding morning is on location.
How long before the wedding should I come?
Most brides come a few weeks before, close enough to know the final dress and far enough to change something.
Your date
Ask whether your date is open
Ask about a trial on the booking page, or send your date and we will suggest a morning.
