Bridal and event hair in Napa, California

One schedule for the whole wedding morning

Five stylists, one plan. We style the bride, her party and both mothers at your venue, after a trial in our studio, and write the morning down before the day. Taking inquiries for dates later this year and next.

  • The morning written down for you

A wedding morning

Who is first, and how long each look takes

A sample morning for a party of eight and both mothers. Yours is built from your ceremony time and the photographer's first shot, and you have it in writing before the day.

  • 7:00 a.m.

Kira and Sameer open two chairs

The first bridesmaids sit while the bride eats and the room settles. Kira starts the braids and crowns, and Sameer takes the longest, thickest hair so it has the most time.

    • About 40 minutes a look

  • 7:30 a.m.

Erma starts the textured and curled looks

Silk presses, twist-outs and coily updos are slower work, so they start early and never wait on the bride.

    • 60 to 75 minutes a look

  • 8:15 a.m.

    Kira styles the flower girls

Braids, small buns and pinned curls with a ribbon, done with a grown-up nearby and before the dresses go on.

    • 20 to 30 minutes a look

  • 8:45 a.m.

    Florence styles both mothers

Soft updos and smooth blowouts, timed so the mothers and grandmothers are done before the first family photographs.

    • About 45 minutes a look

  • 9:30 a.m.

    Libia styles the bride last

Her hair is finished last so it is fresh for the photographs. The updo comes first, then the veil or headpiece is set and tested.

    • About 90 minutes

    • Veil placement from the trial

  • 11:00 a.m.

All five do a last pass

Loose strands, pins and a final check for everyone in the party. Libia stays through the first photographs.

    • Touch-ups until the ceremony

Times shift with your ceremony and the number of people in your party.

The trial

Try the look in the studio first

A quiet weekday morning, with as long as it takes.

At the trial we try your style with your veil or headpiece, watch how it holds as you turn and move, and adjust until it sits right with your dress. Then we write down what we did, so it can be done the same way on the day.

  • About two hours in our trial room

  • Bring your veil, comb or hair vine

  • Bring photos of your dress and the looks you like
